I went to my first yoga class today. My therapist is challenging me to do one thing outside my comfort zone each day. Hence the new yoga class. In my last minute rush to leave on time (to not have to deal with my anxiety symptoms, what, what!) mixed with having about a quarter of my wardrobe due to moving, I choose to wear my t-shirt with a big naked lady on it. It’s not very graphic but my mum doesn’t like it so I guess it’s slightly offensive? I think it’s going to be harder to go to my second class than my first.

I keep forgetting that I’m reading The Hunger Games. As my thesis is due at the end of the month I want to read something that is pretty mindless but captivating. I guess I haven’t been captivated though. I’m sure this is also not an original thought but I can’t help but compare it with Tomorrow, When the War Began. Both kick ass, young female protagonists who are initially paramount to their families success. Then thrust into a situation where they must literally fight for their life. There are more conversations and character interactions as she Is with a group of friends, but the majority is inner dialogue much like in the hunger games. Having read that series while I was part of the target demographic and finding it easier to relate to the characters i enjoyed it much more so. Though a friend (same age, and having read both at the same time as I), while agreeing on the similarities and able to articulate them much better than I, believes they are on par. I guess what I’m trying to say is if you liked The Hunger Games try Tomorrow, When the War Began?

Just had a great idea to go get a drink from the garage and was feeling pretty happy about quenching my thirst while reaching down to grab a bottle when a fucking rat jumped (?) onto the neighbouring box (again unsure how or where from) and started to stare me down.
Earlier today while I was bringing in the rubbish bins into the garage I heard a plop and saw something drop out of the corner of my eye. There was a bulbous spider on the ground not moving, so for a while I was comforted by thoughts of it taking that bungee jump thing that they do too far and misjudging the distance to the ground. But when I returned with the recycling bin it was moving again. Do rats eat spiders? I think I would get along better with the rat who seems slightly territorial and disapproving of its nightly shenanigans being interrupted than a spider who drops, no falls down from the ceiling and is a spider.

Just came across this in my job search. I would be happy being chief of either the land or the water but both? Imagine putting that as your job when filling out custom forms! Or any other forms for that matter!
